HEBBURN Town were involved in the game of the day involving the borough's Northern League sides, as their Division Two clash at Crook Town ended 4-4.
The game had a bit of everything, with great goals, both sides being reduced to 10 men, and Crook bagging an injury-time equaliser.

It was Hebburn who went ahead on 12 minutes, Shaun Carroll tapping in after good work by Michael Armstrong, but Crook soon levelled when Tom Berj's shot was deflected in off Joe Donaghy.

Back came Hebburn, and they were 3-1 up by half-time. Armstrong set up Paul Trosh, who swivelled and volleyed home in the 28th minute, and then Armstrong himself finished off a four-man move for the visitors' third.

Carroll and Armstrong both missed one-on-one chances straight after the interval, and Crook made them pay on the hour when Darren Kokes forced the ball home.

In the resulting melee, Crook's former South Shields striker Mark Johnson was dismissed for raising his hands, but the 10 men refused to give up, and eight minutes later John Jury levelled the scores.

Daniel Gray then also saw red for an altercation with a Crook player, but Hebburn thought they'd won the game when Finbar Lynch raced through to score.

But three minutes into stoppage time, Matthew Coad's glancing header denied Tony Robinson's men all three points.
