BOLDON have a new management team in place after Malcolm Reay's resignation.
Doug Key and Darren Palmer have taken over the reins of the Wearside League side, who lost 2-1 at Cleator Moor on Saturday.

The pair's first official game in charge is Wednesday night's Durham Challenge Cup clash at Brandon, but Key – who was with Cleadon before they went out of existence – travelled to Cumbria to take in the game at the weekend.

Boldon only had 12 men in their squad and lost centre-half Kevin Lloyd injured after just 12 minutes, but battled gamely against a bigger, stronger side, and were only denied a draw when Michael Meek's last-minute header was saved.

Top-scorer Chris Robinson got Boldon's goal, his 11th of the season.
