JARROW Roofing host big-spending Spennymoor Town in the first round of the Durham Challenge Cup tonight.

The Roofers, chasing promotion from Division Two of the Northern League, could not have asked for a much tougher test than a clash with Spennymoor.

However, their opponents – who are hoping for Northern League and FA Vase success this season – will not relish a midweek trip to Boldon Sports Ground either.

Richie McLoughlin could make changes for tonight's game, after seeing his charges fail to break down Whickham on Saturday, having to eventually settle for a goalless draw.

The Moors' name is synonomous with the Durham Challenge Cup, having appeared as winners 15 times, although all under their old guise as Spennymoor United.
