JARROW Roofing slumped to another defeat last night as their time in Division One of the Arngrove Northern League draws to a close.
They lost 3-1 at home to Washington, who boosted their chances of avoiding the drop into Division Two with Roofing.

Jonny Gibson scored first for Richie McLoughlin's men, who are determined to go down fighting.

However, they found themselves pegged back when Ben Pollock equalised.

Shaun Seagers and Peter Watling were also on target for the Washington side as they came away with the spoils.

The result means the Roofers - who bring down the curtain on a season they'll want to forget with a home game on Saturday against West Allotment Celtic - are without a league win in 11 games.
