SOUTH SHIELDS saw their home clash against Tow Law Town in Division One of the Northern League postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.

It was the second time in five days the Filtrona Park pitch had been deemed unplayable.

And it left manager Gary Steadman – who took his side to Seaham Red Star for a 1pm kick-off today – frustrated as his side looked to take advantage of a run of home fixtures.
