ANDY Carroll says Newcastle United aren't concerned with any of their Championship opponents – only themselves.
Boss Chris Hughton – whose side take on Peterborough United at St James's Park tomorrow – gives his players a detailed lowdown on the opposition before every game.

However, Carroll – who scored one goal and set up another on his last appearance on home turf against Doncaster Rovers – is more concerned what league leading Newcastle can do to their opponents, and not vice versa.

"I fancy every game right now," said Carroll "All of the lads do – we just need to get another win.

"We feel we can match every other team in the division, so tomorrow is no different.

"We're not looking at where they are in the table or what points they have. We're just sticking together as a group of lads.

"The fans have been fantastic, and I know that they will be there in numbers to support the team."

Carroll wasn't involved in the Carling Cup against Peterborough in September, which a youthful Newcastle side lost 2-0.

The 20-year-old added: "I sat that one out along with a few other lads, but we have to forget about that. We want to stay top of the league over the international break."

Hughton went on: "There's nothing more to say this week about what's happening off the field.

"We're delighted with back-to-back wins. The fashion of the performances has been pleasing.

"It wasn't our best performance against Doncaster or Sheffield United, but the manner in which we won gives us a great lift.

"We're at home and we must make sure we put on a performance that wins us the game."
