NEWCASTLE United boss Kevin Keegan had Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho at the top of his dream summer shopping list.
The first two names on Keegan's list to owner Mike Ashley were Barcelona star Ronaldinho and former England captain David Beckham, it has been reported.
But Ashley's response left Keegan in no doubt that while he might be massively wealthy, he will not be a cash cow to fund a wild spending spree on 'trophy' players who may have a quick-fix effect - but won't do anything to enhance the long-term future prospects of Newcastle.
