Ipswich v Norwich transfer race for United striker

EAST Anglian rivals Ipswich and Norwich are locked in a two way race to sign Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi, according to reports.
Ameobi, who has featured just once for Kevin Keegan since the manager's return in January, is rumoured to be on his way out of St James's Park, according to The Sun.

But the Gazette reported at the weekend that Keegan was confident Ameobi still had a part to play for the Toon this season.
