CHRIS Hughton says Marlon Harewood has not let the boos directed at him at St James's Park on his last appearance for Newcastle United affect him.
Many fans are desperate to see Nile Ranger – who turned the Doncaster Rovers game last Saturday in Newcastle's favour – back in the starting XI.

But Hughton hasn't ruled out another start for striker Harewood – who has been disappointing since arriving on loan from Aston Villa – when the Magpies go to Sheffield United on Monday night.

Harewood, below, was booed off when substituted against Doncaster, but Hughton says the 30-year-old has taken it in his stride.

"Marlon's been very good in training," Hughton said. "The ups and downs of performances for strikers are there for all to see, and Marlon's been fine this week.

"We've got options, and they are decisions that you want to make. You'd rather have options, and have the tough decisions to make. That's something that I very much welcome."
