NEWCASTLE United boss Kevin Keegan watched United target Bafetimbi Gomis play for St Etienne in their 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes last Saturday.
Gomis – rated in the £9m bracket – played the full 90 minutes, but was largely kept quiet by the home side.
