THE HIVES
The Black And White Album (Polydor)

THIS fourth album by the Swedish garage rockers has hardly been out of my CD player since I got it.
It does everything their first three delivered, and much more, exploding into life with excellent single Tick Tick Boom and then simply getting better.

They 'out-Strokes' The Strokes on several tracks, and on one song sound so like Rancid that I was examining the CD booklet for non-existent details of a Tim Armstrong collaboration.

This is an essential album for anyone who likes guitar music. Buy it, burn it or download it now.
