NEWCASTLE, Celtic, Arsenal, Everton, Man City, Spurs, West Ham, Blackburn, Ipswich and Plymouth are making today's headlines.
Owner Mike Ashley is asking for £481m for Newcastle - a profit of £230m. (Sun)

A consortium linked to Dubai Sports City has emerged as the frontrunner to take over Newcastle. (Daily Mail)

Zabeel Investments, part of Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Al-Maktoum's Dubai Holding, have told Ashley to lower his £480m asking price. (Star)

Zabeel have already told Kevin Keegan he will get his job back back if their takeover succeeds. (Daily Express)

However, Zabeel may only be showing an interest in Newcastle in order to force Liverpool's owners to sell. (Guardian)

Ashley's attempts to sell the club in the Middle East have not been helped by his claims that he and his family have been threatened with violence. (Guardian)

West Ham, Blackburn and Ipswich want 16-year-old Australian striker Joe Gibbs from Manly United. (Daily Star)

Plymouth striker Jermaine Easter has asked to be taken off the transfer list after the club failed to receive a single offer. (Daily Star)

Tottenham pulled out of a deal to sign Real Zaragoza striker Sergio Ramos last month because of the price. (Guardian)

American shareholder Stan Kroenke will join the Arsenal board this week as the club attempts to ward off a takeover from Russian Alisher Usmanov. (Times)

Everton boss David Moyes will be charged with misconduct today after being sent to the stands in the 3-2 win over Stoke. (Daily Mail)

But Moyes could be helped out by referee Alan Wiley, who will ask the FA to be lenient because Wiley made the wrong call on a possible penalty for Everton. (Daily Mirror)

The Premier League wants to introduce a new rule next season which will mean every club must include two under-21 players from their academy. (Daily Telegraph)

The Abu Dhabi United Group will complete their £200m takeover of Manchester City in the next 24 hours and will immediately give manager Mark Hughes a vote of confidence. (Times)

It was Hughes who persuaded the new owners not to sign the former AC Milan and Barcelona striker Ronaldo. (Times)
