SUNDERLAND will have to cope without another key player for this Saturday's trip to Tottenham.
Kenwyne Jones's controversial dismissal in the weekend draw with West Ham means he will be suspended for three games.
Skipper Lorik Cana will also miss out, serving a one-match ban for five bookings this season.
With Lee Cattermole a long-term injury victim, it leaves Bruce without both of his first-choice central midfielders for a testing clash at White Hart Lane, where victory would take Sunderland above Harry Redknapp's side.
Bruce said: "There's a club discipline for silly sendings off, and that's what Kenwyne's was.
"The lad's disappointed in himself but, ultimately, it punishes the club.
"We'll be without him now for the next three games, and we've lost Lorik Cana to suspension and Lee Cattermole to injury previously.
"So that's three very, very important players for us. It's going to be tough, but their absence will offer other players an opportunity which we hope they take."
