SUNDERLAND chairman Niall Quinn remains buoyant about football's finances – despite the growing financial crisis across the world.
He told the Daily Mirror: "We have managed to put a slick business plan together for the next couple of years, taking into account where the league has gone.

"The rest of the world has gone into meltdown, but it feels to me like the last bastion of capitalism.

"Government is bailing out banks and handing out money, but football seems to be doing the opposite. We are in a good, stable position."
