IT'S been another incident-packed week for the north-east's big two football clubs.
In the latest of the Gazette's head-to-head video specials, our Newcastle United writer Miles Starforth and Sunderland counterpart Gary Foster discuss the main talking points.

Kevin Keegan's Magpies followed their opening weekend draw at Manchester United with a hard-fought home win over Bolton.

They then travelled to Coventry in the Carling Cup and edged through 3-2 in extra-time after being two goals up.

That was the same night James Milner slapped in a transfer request - and ended up signing for Aston Villa.

Over at Sunderland, Roy Keane's team won at Tottenham for the first time in 30 years, with new signing Djibril Cisse getting the winner.

Then they progressed in the Carling Cup with an extra-time win at Nottingham Forest - on the same day Keane paid West Ham £8m for Anton Ferdinand.
