BOLDON'S joint management team of Doug Key and Darren Palmer suffered their first defeat since taking over.
The duo saw Easington beat their side 2-1 in a Wearside League fixture.
The home outfit took the lead on 20 minutes through Aidan Sanders, and doubled their advantage through Robert Huntley.
After the break, Boldon fought back strongly, and
leading scorer Kris Robertson pulled a goal back.
The visitors had chance after chance to grab an equaliser, but failed to convert them and returned home empty-handed.
It was a similar story for JARROW, who lost 3-1 at Wolviston.
Christie Elliott got their only goal, and also hit the bar in the second half when the score was 2-1 as Jarrow pressed for an equaliser, before being hit on the break three minutes into injury time.
Boss Dave Bell said: "I think we were a bit unfortunate to get beat.
"The pitch was atrocious and we couldn't get going, though it was the same for both teams."
In the Durham Alliance, SIMONSIDE bounced back to form with a 2-1 win at home to Shildon Railway.
Sima had all the early pressure and hit the upright, but they finally broke the deadlock on 18 minutes when a great through ball from Steven Graham found Shaun Edwards, and he rocketed the ball into the bottom corner.
Sima had to wait for their second goal, which didn't arrive until the 71st minute, when a right-wing cross from David Crumbie allowed Andy Hunter to slot home.
Shildon quickly pulled a goal back through Ross Brown, but Sima took all three points thanks to four fantastic saves in the last 10 minutes by Kevin Garrick.
Boss Gordon Diamond said: "Stephen Pearce was moved to centre-half ended up man of the match, while up front Shaun Edwards answered the critics with a great game and a good goal."
In the Northern Alliance, SHIELDS UNITED suffered a frustrating afternoon, losing 2-0 against promotion favourites Percy Main.
United gave debuts to Davy Birch, who was promoted from the Under-18s, and also Michael Alexander.
But mistakes by Assan Jallow and Shaun Newbrook gifted Percy the lead, and despite plenty possession, Shields were poor in the final third.
Percy Main hit the bar before doubling their advantage, while Scott Graham had the chance to pull a goal back when eight yards out, but couldn't get the ball out under his feet.
HEBBURN REYROLLE, however, returned from Northbank with a 4-3 victory.
