HEBBURN Town manager Tony Robinson has moved to reshape his squad after a very disappointing 2007/08 season.
Robinson has raided local football, bringing in a number of youngsters who are untried at Northern League level.
But the club hopes that the new boys freshen up a side that looked tired and unimaginative at times last season.
The demise of Wearside League outfit Cleadon SC has ultimately aided Hebburn, with a number of players choosing to join Robinson's revolution.
Former South Shields player Finbar Lynch, striker Michael Armstrong, and midfielders Nicholas Pain, Paul Trosh and Steven Graham have all signed for Hebburn after Cleadon went under towards the end of the last campaign, while forward Martin Urwin has also been plucked from local football.
Urwin and Armstrong replace established forwards Tony Hanson and Gary McCartney, who – despite being Hebburn's main marksmen over the last couple of seasons – have been allowed to join fellow Northern League Division Two sides Esh Winning and Birtley Town respectively.
Hebburn travel to Marske United tomorrow for their first game of the new campaign, but are without experienced defenders Stuart pattison and Daniel Gray, who are both suspended.
