DUTCH defender Joris Mathijsen is the latest name to come into the reckoning for Sunderland.
The 28-year-old plays for Hamburg in Germany and started all but one of Holland's games in Euro 2008.

Newcastle and Blackburn have also been credited with an interested in the left-sided centre-back.
