Blow for Durham as Morkel ruled out
DURHAM'S hopes of returning to winning ways in four-day cricket have suffered a blow after overseas star Albie Morkel was ruled out.
Geoff Cook's side play host to Warwickshire over the next four days, and were hoping to include Morkel in their line-up.
However, the South African ace has picked up a groin strain, which makes him the 15th Durham player to pick up an injury so far this term.
The blow is compounded by the fact that Durham will be without another of their attack bowlers for the clash with Warwickshire.
Cook said: "We would have like to have played Albie as Liam Plunkett is away with England Lions, but we will just have to hope he is available for Friday."
