Fitz confident Toon can handle the Iron
FITZ Hall is confident Newcastle United can beat Scunthorpe United at St James's Park tonight – whoever lines up at the back.
But the Newcastle United defender is still wary of Nigel Adkins's Iron side.
Fabricio Coloccini is a doubt for the game after limping off against Middlesbrough on Saturday with a dead leg, and teenager Tamas Kadar is on standby to partner loan signing Hall in the centre of Chris Hughton's defence.
However, Jose Enrique is set to return at left-back after sitting out the Tees-Tyne derby.

And 29-year-old Hall – who was handed a start at the Riverside Stadium after Mike Williamson suffered an injury on the eve of the game – is looking forward to what will only be his second appearance at St James's Park in a black and white shirt.
"I was thankful I got a chance against Middlesbrough, and hopefully I'll play against Scunthorpe," Hall told the Gazette.
"We'll see where we go from there, but I'll just take each game as it comes.
"Tamas came on in the last game and did tremendously well.
"He started at left-back, and had to be moved to centre-half. I felt he dealt with it very well, and I'm sure if Colo isn't fit for the next game, Tamas will step in and do as well as he has been doing."
Newcastle – who have banged in 18 goals in their last four home games – go into the game looking to extend a season-long unbeaten record St James's Park.
"Having come this far with an unbeaten record at home, we don't want to give it away," Hall added.
"We don't want to look further than the next game. It's a home game, and we want to win it, as we do every game."
Scunthorpe might be third-from-bottom of the league, but Hall – who was given a tough test by strikers Paul Hayes and Gary Hooper in Queens Park Rangers's 1-0 win at Glanford Park earlier in the season – is wary of the threat they pose up front.
Hall said: "I played away at Scunthorpe, and they're a very good team.
"They're hard-working, and pass the ball well.
"They've got good partnerships all over the pitch, and the best part of the team is their strikers – Hooper and Hayes.
"They've got a few goals between them, and I was very impressed with them when I played against them.
"They'll be two players we've definitely got to look out for."
