Celtic hit Athletic for six in U10s Cup
Whiteleas Celtic went through to the next round of the Under-10s Cup with a 6-1 win over South Tyneside Athletic.
Star man Millwater scored twice for Celtic, and a good single from Shaw, and a great hat-trick from Langley completed the scoring for Whiteleas.
Brindle replied in style for Athletic.
The result of the day was Jarrow Fellgate's superb 1-0 win over South Shields Jags Cubs.
In a cracking game, which could have gone either way, it took an unfortunate own goal to break the deadlock and secure a quarter-final place for the jubilant Jarrow side.
In a hard-fought game in heavy conditions, Hebburn Town Devils got the better of a battling Leam Rangers to progress to the quarters with a fine 3-1 win.
Goals from Melia (2) and Brown sealed the victory, with Craig netting for the Leam.
Hebburn Town Demons joined the Devils in the hat for the quarter-finals with a well-deserved 4-2 win over Jarrow Boys Vikings.
In a very exciting and entertaining match, Taylor netted twice for the Vikings, taking his chances very well.
However, strikes from Hetherington and Hepplewhite and a fine double from Kelly kept the Demons' hopes of silverware on track.
