Chiefs take points from Nou Camp
In one of the clashes of the day in La Liga Division One, leaders Consett Chiefs took on third-placed Wrekenton Nou Camp.
Despite the conditions, it was a match of really high quality, and it was the Durham side who took the points with a 4-1 win.
Consett went ahead early with a good strike from Johnson. This was followed by a Milner goal to make it 2-0.
Wrekenton settled down and began to get their game together, and the dangerous Cole finished off a good move to give them hopes of a comeback.
However, Consett were too strong, and further goals from Johnson and Kelman keep the Chiefs in pole position.
Jarrow FC Cheetahs scored an excellent 7-2 win over Consett Raiders, with both sides playing some good football in the heavy conditions.
Wilson bagged both his team's goals in style, but it was Cheetahs who deserved their win.
Bowie sent in a great left-foot drive for his side's first, which was soon followed by a low shot from Harris into the bottom corner.
Minchella made it 3-0 before the break to put Cheetahs in the driving seat.
After the break, Jarrow showed their dominance when Pinnock (2), Groombridge and a Ross penalty completed the scoring.
Fatfield scored a big win over a brave Sheriff Hill, scoring seven goals without reply. On the scoresheet were Graham and Finlay, who both hit good doubles, while Thompson weighed in with an excellent hat-trick.
Boldon Colts move into joint second after their excellent 3-0 win over Gateshead FC.
A Jackson strike, and two goals from the prolific McCaffery secured the points for the Colts.
Hebburn Town Blues moved into fourth place after their comfortable 7-1 win over Leam Rangers.
Holland netted for Leam, with Carter, Hudson, Moyse-Muhktar, Donaghy and a great hat-trick from Ellison completing the scoring for Hebburn.
Whiteleas Galaxy enjoyed a 6-1 win over Hebburn Reyrolle.
Poppett scored a fine goal for Reyrolle, with Smeatham, Pascoe, Robinson, Agar, and a double from Shotton, doing the damage for Galaxy.
In La Liga Division Two, Hebburn Quay put up a good display against an improving East Durham.
The hard-working Yorston bagged two goals for his side, but Durham dominated the game and secured the points with goals from White, Dasgupta, Buglass and four from Holland.
Monkton Juniors remain in second spot after a 4-0 win over St Cuthbert's. Goals from Stevenson, Wilkinson, and two from Pringle sealed the win.
Consett Terrors put up a great performance against leaders Hebburn Town Gold, eventually going down 5-3.
On the mark were Falcus (2), Parker (2) and Scott for Gold, with Tipping and Taylor netting well for the Terrors.
Gladiators FC edged a seven-goal thriller against Hebburn Town Juniors.
Carey and Davison (2) were on the mark for Hebburn, but doubles from Berry and Brennan won the points for the Gladiators.
Sparta FC enjoyed a big 8-0 win over a young Hebburn Pheonix side. On the scoresheet were Clark (2) McPhail (2), Crutwell and star man Crooks, who bagged a great hat-trick.
Ryhope Blues beat Sheriff Hill Blues 2-1. Smith netted for Hill, with Ryhope's heroes being Pratt and Water.
