Colts beat Reyrolle to go second in La Liga
BOLDON Colts moved into joint-second spot in La Liga Division One of the Chase Holmes South Tyneside Youth League.
They recorded an impressive 3-0 win over Hebburn Reyrolle in ththe Shields Gazette-sponsored divisiion, with goals from McCaffery (2) and McQuillan.
Whiteleas Galaxy and Fatfield FC were both desperate for points to move them up from midtable.
In a close game, it was Galaxy who starred with a 4-2 victory. Thompson took his chances well to score twice, but four goals from the impressive Shotton capped a fine team performance from Galaxy.
In an amazing game with 13 goals, Wrekenton Nou Camp moved into joint second place after their 9-4 win over Consett Raiders.
A Willis single and a great hat-trick from Lumley wasn't enough for the Raiders as goals from Mole, Cole and a superb hat-trick from Maddison, and four goals from the prolific Charlton kept the Springwell side on track for honours.
Jarrow FC Cheetahs took on Sheriff Hill Reds, and they opened the scoring when Harris netted a quick-fire double.
Minchella added a third just before the break, with the Jarrow side playing some delightful football.
In the second half the Cheetahs began to dominate. Further goals from Ross, Bowie, Pinnock and a completed hat-trick from Harris saw them home, with Robson netting a fine consolation goal from the spot for Sheriff Hill.
In one of the clashes of the day, Consett Chiefs and Hebburn Town Blues played out an excellent 2-2 draw, which was a credit to the league and junior football.
On the mark for the Blues were Carter and star man Hudson. McVickers and Milner netted well for the Chiefs.
Gateshead FC scored a great 4-1 win over Leam Rangers, with both sides playing good football in the conditions.
Sharpe netted well for Leam, but strikes from Gifford and a brilliant hat-trick from captain Lynn secured the points for Gateshead.
IN a high-scoring game in Total Sport-sponsored La Liga Division Two, table-toppers Hebburn Town Gold were given the shock of their lives against East Durham, who stunned the leaders with a brilliant 5-3 victory.
Falcus, Parker and Scott netted for Hebburn, but goals from Beth White, Joe White, Buglass and a great double from Holland capped a superb team performance.
Hebburn Town Juniors move up into sixth place after their great 3-0 win over Consett Terriers. Watson scored twice, along with a good goal from Davison to keep up Hebburn's fine form.
Ryhope CW Blues recorded their third win of the campaign with a well-deserved 3-0 victory over St Cuthbert's. Pratt and Firth (2) were on target.
Sheriff Hill Reds went down heavily to a rampant Ryhope CW Reds.
A double from Bishop, along with splendid hat-tricks from Price and McKenzie, sealed the win for the Sunderland side.
In a very tight and entertaining game, both Monkton Juniors and Gladiators gave the crowd a real treat.
Monkton had keeper Ridley to thank for a superb display between the posts.
The young stopper kept his side in the game with some great saves.
At the other end Pringle sealed the win in style for Monkton, finding the net with a spectacular overhead kick.
FC Sparta are right in the thick of things at the top after their very good 7-0 win over a battling Hebburn Quay.
Crutwell was on the mark for Sparta, along with hat-trick heroes Clark and McPhail.
