FORMER Newcastle United striker Marlon Harewood is hoping to revive his career in the North East.
The 34-year-old has joined League Two club Hartlepool United as a free agent after being released by Bristol City a fortnight ago.
Much-travelled Harewood – whose career has also taken him to China – had a spell at Newcastle on loan from Aston Villa during the club’s promotion season.
He scored five goals in 15 appearances for United. Harewood, pictured, could make his debut away to Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
