CHEIK Tiote’s been ruled out of Saturday’s home game against Chelsea.
The Newcastle United midfielder – who has missed the club’s last five games with a knee injury – could also miss the game at Norwich City a week later.
Manager Alan Pardew: “Cheik won’t be involved on Saturday, and I’m not going to say he’ll play a week later.
“We’ve got to make sure he’s right – he’s a very important player for us.”
Meanwhile, striker Leon Best today returned to training after recovering from a groin problem.
