Newcastle United are set to make their fourth signing of the summer.

So who exactly is Jesus Gamez?

He is a right-back and has been with Atletico Madrid for the past two seasons.

His 31 years old, so will be expected to go straight into the Newcastle side for the Championship challenge.

Games has also been linked with West Ham and Everton this summer, but is expected to sign for fellow Spaniard Rafa Benitez.

He started back in 2004 with the Malaga B team before stepping up to the first team.

In total, he played 266 times for the senior team and was made captain in 2011.

He’s not a goalscorer - he scored one goal for the B team and one for the senior team!

Gamez was signed by Atletico in 2014 on a three-year deal and was selected by boss Diego Simeone as a left-back in his first season.

He played 14 games in his first season and 10 last season.

He was not involved in the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.

Gamez is now set to join Matt Ritchie, Dwight Gayle and goalkeeper Matz Sels as a new face in the United squad.
