MATHIEU Debuchy may miss the World Cup after reports the Newcastle United defender had picked up an injury in France’s friendly against Jamaica tonight.
The right-back staretd the game, but was substituted at half-time, with Bacary Sagna taking his place.
Rumours then started to surface that Debuchy had broken a bone in his foot, putting his World Cup place in doubt.
However, the full-back returned to the bench later in the game to allay fears over his fitness, which in fact appeared to be a thigh problem.
France manager Didier Deshamps was then quoted as saying: “He (Debuchy) feels a little discomfort when running. He will go get treatment.”
Toon midfielder Moussa Sissoko and former Newastle player Yoahn Cabaye also started the game, with Cabaye on target in a convincing win.
