Daryl Janmaat is set to leave Newcastle United once DeAndre Yedlin completes his move to St James's Park.
Tottenham Hotspur right-back Yedlin arrived on Tyneside this afternoon ahead of a £5million move to Newcastle United.
Watford have tonight had a £7.5million bid for Janmaat accepted by Newcastle.
However, the right-back is interested in a move to West Ham, who must now match the offer from their Premier League rivals.
The Gazette understands the 27-year-old said his goodbyes to team-mates ahead of tonight's EFL Cup tie against Cheltenham Town.
Janmaat is not involved in the second-round tie at St James's Park.
Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez said yesterday it would take a "fantastic" offer to persuade the club to sell Janmaat, who was not involved in the weekend's win over Bristol City.
Asked about Janmaat's future, Benitez said: "It's difficult to say. He's a player I like, but if someone comes with a fantastic offer, we will analyse everything."
Janmaat joined United from Feyenoord two years ago.
