Daryl Janmaat says he’ll give “everything” for Newcastle United in the Championship.
The defender has been linked with a move away from the relegated club this summer.

But Janmaat insists he is focused on giving his all to the club in English football’s second tier this season.
The 27-year-old will be in the team which takes on Fulham at Craven Cottage tonight in the first game of the new campaign.
Newcastle were unbeaten in pre-season, and Janmaat said: “We had a good few games, and I think everybody’s ready for the new season.
“I think it’s really positive. Everybody is happy at the club. That’s good. We need positivity. It’s a new start now, and we have to make sure we do our jobs.”
Janmaat missed the latter part of last season with groin and hand injuries suffered during and after the club’s defeat at Southampton in early April.
The right-back is now looking to put last season behind him.
“We’re looking forward now,” he added. “I will give everything for Newcastle.”
Rafa Benitez committed himself to United in the wake of relegation, and the club has since signed eight players.
“I think it’s a positive thing that he stayed,” said Janmaat. “I think he’s a big part of the future of the club. He knows what he’s doing. He’s a big manager with a lot of success with other teams. That’s a good thing for the club.”
On the Fulham game, he said: “I think a good start is massive. We have to try to win there and get a positive feeling. From there, we will have to build.”
