Kyle Cameron has been offered a new deal by Newcastle United.
The 19-year-old defender spent the second half of the campaign at York City, who were relegated from League Two.
Hexham-born Cameron is looking for another loan spell next season.
The Scotland Under-19 international told the York Press: "I've been offered a new contract at Newcastle.
"I'm just waiting on a few little bits of negotiation, but it looks like I will be back there next season.
"I don't think I'm quite ready for Newcastle United's first team so, then, the target will be to go out on loan again.
"Maybe, I'd be looking at a League One club, but I'll see what interest there is and who comes knocking in the summer, then I'll make my decisions."
