Newcastle United have completed the signing of Gent goalkeeper Matz Sels.
The Belgian becomes Rafa Benitez's first signing as Newcastle United manager, and joins on a five-year deal.
Sels arrives on Tyneside with a big reputation, having been named Belgian Goalkeeper of the Year in 2015, and is understood to have cost around £4.5million.
He will challenge Karl Darlow for the No 1 spot for the first game of the season, with Tim Krul and Rob Elliot still working their way back to fitness after serious knee injuries.
Sels played in the Champions League last season and was called into the Belgium squad for two World Cup qualifiers last year, though he didn't appear for the senior side.
The 24-year-old kept 18 clean sheets last season for Gent.
