Gosling in, Ben Arfa and Santon out of Newcastle’s Euro tie

HATEM BEN ARFA ... has not travelled to the Ukraine with Newcastle United, but Dan Gosling has.

HATEM Ben Arfa won’t be involved for Newcastle United against Metalist Kharkiv tomorrow night.

The forward wasn’t in the 19-man squad which flew to the Ukraine today for the second leg of the club’s Europa League Round of 32 tie.

Ben Arfa is back in full training after recovering from a hamstring injury and a bout of illness.

The 25-year-old could instead make his comeback against Southampton on Sunday.

Keep my Euro dream alive – Ben Arfa

However, fit-again Dan Gosling – who has recovered from the ankle problem he suffered in October – is in Alan Pardew’s squad.

But defender Davide Santon has been rested.

The first-leg at St James’s Park last week ended goalless.

SQUAD: Krul, Elliot, Perch, Anita, Bigirimana, Yanga-Mbiwa, S Taylor, Tiote, Shola Ameobi, Cabaye, Gosling, Coloccini, Obertan, Haidara, Cisse, Gutierrez, Marveaux, Simpson.
