Leeds United have already sold 30,000 tickets for Newcastle United's visit to Elland Road.
The club is opening the rarely-used upper tier of the huge East Stand for the televised game on November 20 (1.15pm kick-off).
Tickets for the match this week went on general sale to Leeds fans, and the Championship fixture could yet sell out.
A club statement read: "Leeds United can confirm the East Stand Upper will be open for our Championship fixture against Newcastle United on Sunday 20th November.
"Tickets for the fixture went on general sale to Leeds supporters on Monday morning and nearly 30,000 tickets have already been sold."
Meanwhile, Newcastle – who were backed by more than 5,600 fans at Preston North End at the weekend – have been given just 2,764 tickets by Leeds.
Season-ticket holders with 75 or more loyalty points can apply now for seats.
