LIVERPOOL andManchester City look set to battle it out over a summer transfer target.

City’s win against Aston Villa last night means they have one hand on the Premier League trophy.

But according to media reports today, Liverpool have emerged as favourites to sign Benfica playmaker Nicolas Gaitan ahead of City and Manchester United.

A bid of £20m could be enough to prise the 26-year-old Argentina international from the Portuguese champions.
