LIVERPOOL are considering a move for Manchester City’s John Guidetti – which could scupper any Sunderland hopes of signing the striker.

Forward Guidetti has long been linked with a move to the Black Cats, and was on director of football Roberto De Fanti’s radar in the summer.

De Fanti had Guidetti among his number of clients when he was an agent, and has kept tabs on his progress.

The 21-year-old’s career has stalled in the last 18 months because of a virus and knee injury, but he could be set for a loan move in January, and Metro claim today that Liverpol are weighing up a move.
