Matt Ritchie is OUT of this afternoon's game against Brentford.

The Newcastle United winger has been ruled out through sickness, while Chancel Mbemba has a leg injury.

Manager Rafa Benitez has made just one change to the team which beat Rotherham United before the international break.

Ayoze Perez replaces Mohamed Diame, who is among the substitutes.

Benitez spoke about Diame's form at his pre-match Press conference yesterday.

A crowd of more than 51,000 will see the two clubs face each other in the league for the first time since 1993.

Newcastle are third in the Championship table, while Brentford are seventh.
