Newcastle linked with French whizzkid Kondogbia

FEELGOOD FACTOR ... Newcastle manager Alan Pardew.

FEELGOOD FACTOR ... Newcastle manager Alan Pardew.

ALAN Pardew has been linked with another French swoop, with Lens teenager Geoffrey Kondogbia the latest reported target.

The 18-year-old has been one of Ligue 2’s outstanding performers this season, and Newcastle are one of the clubs being linked with him.

Reports in France suggest that Pardew is prepared to gamble another £2m on the defensive midfielder, having already brought the likes of Yohan Cabaye, Sylvain Marveaux, Mehdi Abeid and Paris-born Demba Ba to Tyneside.

However, he will face competition for the France Under-19 international, with Italian giants Roma and Napoli also linked with the player.
