Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man United made today’s transfer headlines

NEWCASTLE United featured heavily in today’s transfer rumours sections of the media.

The Magpies were linked with a World Cup star, while they could also lose one of their key performers.

The Sunday Express claimed Tottenham, Everton and Newcastle are all competing to sign Ecuador striker Enner Valencia. The Pachuca forward, 25, has scored three goals in two games at the World Cup.

Meanwhile, the Mail on Sunday said Tottenham will make a £10m move for Newcastle’s Dutch goalkeeper Tim Krul, 26, if Hugo Lloris, 27, returns to France to sign for Paris St-Germain.
