Newcastle United are sweating on their move for Chelsea winger Kenedy.

The club has been involved in talks with the Premier League champions over a season-long loan deal for Kenedy.

Chelsea were set to sanction the move once they signed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal.

However, Oxlade-Chamberlain has turned down a £40million move to Stamford Bridge.

The 24-year-old wants to move to Liverpool. If he can't move to Anfield, he plans to stay at Arsenal.

And the breakdown of Chelea's move for Oxlade-Chamberlain has implications for Newcastle's interest in Kenedy.

The 21-year-old – who can also play at left-back –could yet stay at Stamford Bridge.
