Newcastle on look out for next big stars

STAR MAN ... Newcastle's Yohan Cabaye.

STAR MAN ... Newcastle's Yohan Cabaye.

  • by MILES STARFORTH

NEWCASTLE United are already plotting to bring the next Demba Ba and Yohan Cabaye to St James’s Park.

The pair have been outstanding this season, their first at St James’s Park, since their moves from West Ham United and Lille respectively last summer.

And Pardew and his staff, with nine Premier League games left to play, are already plotting the summer’s transfer business, with Reims midfielder Romain Amalfitano understood to be set for a move to Newcastle.

Newcastle’s Remie Streete backed to return stronger from injury

The club is looking to add to its first-team squad and revitalise its development group, and Pardew’s confident United’s playing staff will be stronger at all levels next season.

“I think we have enough players to excite the fans,” Pardew told the Gazette.

“I think it’s important now that we bring in the players that are going to take us forward, and we have plans to do that.

“There are one or two players that we are actively looking into and finding prices for. We are making sure we don’t miss a Demba Ba or a Yohan Cabaye.”
