Chancel Mbemba is fit to face Ipswich Town at St James's Park tomorrow.
The defender missed Tuesday night's 2-0 win over Barnsley with what manager Rafa Benitez has described as a "grass burn".
Benitez said: "Mbemba is fine. He had a problem with a grass burn."
However, striker Daryl Murphy (calf) won't be risked against his former club.
Benitez – whose side went top of the Championship after the Barnsley game – is expecting a "physically tough" game against 12th-placed Ipswich.
“It’s a team that does not score many goals, not conceding too many goals," said Benitez.
"It will be tough, they work hard, they will be physically tough.
"They are a Championship team that knows what they have to do, the counter-attack. The manager (Mick McCarthy) is a good manager. He knows what is required.
“We have analysed the strengths and weaknesses, and we will try to do the right things.
"Normally you try to impose a style on a game, but I think we will have to try to do the same things and approach the game mentally.”
