Newcastle's Ciaran Clark handed start against old club Villa

Rafa Benitez has named his Newcastle United side for this evening's game at Villa Park.

Benitez's team take on Aston Villa in a televised Championship game (5.30pm kick-off).

Ciaran Clark – who this week spoke to the Gazette about his move from Villa in the summer – starts against his former club.

Dwight Gayle leads the line, while Cheick Tiote, yet to play for United this season, is among the substitutes.

Chancel Mbemba and Jack Colback are not involved.

Newcastle were third in the league ahead of this afternoon's round of games.
