THE transfer window is beginning to hot up – with plenty of stories surrounding the Premier League’s big boys.

Newcastle United and Sunderland both featured in the Sunday newspapers today as the rumours start to increase.

Long-term Newcastle target Wilfried Zaha may not end up at St James’s Park anymore, according to the Sunday Mirror.

They say that the out-of-favour Manchester United forward is being targeted by former Old Trafford hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for a loan move to Cardiff City.

Down the road at the Stadium of Light, Steven Fletcher’s future has been discussed heavily, with Celtic linked with a move for him.

Manager Neil Lennon is confident Celtic would be able to bankroll a £6m signing during the January transfer window, according to the Daily Express.

But the Scottish champions could be priced out of a move for Sunderland’s Fletcher, with Tottenham among a number of Premier League clubs keen on the striker, report the Daily Mail.
