Today brought the news that Paul Dummett has quit international football.
The Newcastle United defender has won two caps with Wales, but hasn't played in a competitive international fixture.
Wales manager Chris Coleman has reacted to Dummett's decision.
We also have the latest on the likely ins and outs at St James's Park this summer.
Here's your daily briefing:
Dummett was one of United's most consistent performers during the club's Championship-winning campaign.
But the Newcastle-born player didn't make Coleman's latest Wales squad for next month's World Cup qualifier against Serbia.
And Coleman this week took a call from Dummett's agent.
"He doesn't want to play international football, which is a disappointment from our point of view," said Coleman.
"But he's made that decision, and we have to abide by that.
"We'll get on with the squad of players, the squad who want to play and represent Wales.
"There's nothing we can do with Paul, who's decided that international football is not the path he wants to go down."
Money on the table
Grant Hanley could leave Newcastle this summer.
And Derby County have reportedly made an early bid for the defender, who was signed from Blackburn Rovers last summer.
Hanley, 25, made 10 Championship appearances for United this season.
Midfielder Dan Barlaser has also been linked with a loan move to Turkish club Besiktas.
Meanwhile, the Gazette revealed on Tuesday that out-of-contract pair Yoan Gouffran and Vurnon Anita were unlikely to get new deals at the club.
Under the knife
Christian Atsu has had knee surgery since joining Newcastle on a permanent deal.
The winger, signed from Chelsea for £6.2million after a successful loan at St James's Park, was left out of Ghana's latest squad.
The 25-year-old, however, is expected to be fit for the start of pre-season training on July 23.
On the market
Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala, linked with a move to Newcastle, has spoken about his future.
Asked about coach Pep Guardiola, the 26-year-old said: “I’m fortunate to have spent a month with him, and I can tell you that I have made more progress, especially tactically, in a month with him than in two years at City.
“I want to believe I can convince him.
“But today I’m on the market. There will be offers this summer.”
Meanwhile, reports in Spain claim United have bid for Leganes defender Gabriel Pires.
We have a signed pair of Tim Krul's personalised goalkeeping gloves to give away.
