Newcastle United hope to tie up a NINTH summer signing ahead of Saturday's game against Huddersfield Town.

The club is in talks with Everton over a season-long loan for defender Brendan Galloway.

Galloway, 20, is wanted by manager Rafa Benitez to complete with Paul Dummett for a place at left-back.

The Championship club is also looking to sign a striker and a winger before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.

There will also be outgoings, but, as yet, there have been no bids for £35million-rated Moussa Sissoko, who reiterated his desire to leave the club last week.

Writer Miles Starforth says it's NOT always good for Sissoko to talk.

Meanwhile, Scottish Premiership club Rangers are targeting a United forward.
