Andros Townsend has labelled Newcastle United's predicament "crazy" in an emotional interview.

Townsend spoke after the club's disastrous 3-2 defeat to Norwich City at Carrow Road.

The result left Newcastle six points adrift of safety with seven games left to play.

And the winger, signed for £12million in January, has pledged to do everything he can to help United stay in the Premier League.

Townsend has also insisted that he has no regrets about leaving title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur.

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez says his players were "down" after the Norwich loss.
