Moussa Sissoko delivered a parting shot to Newcastle United after leaving St James's Park.
The midfielder last night joined Tottenham Hotspur in a £30million deadline day deal.
United fans lauded the deal given that Sissoko had not performed well during the club's relegation battle last season.
And Sissoko made some inflammatory comments after signing a five-year contract at White Hart Lane.
Newcastle's only deadline day arrival was Chelsea winger Christian Atsu.
The 24-year-old has joined the club on a season-long loan.
Atsu said: “I’m very happy to be at Newcastle. It’s a very big club. They have good facilities and I think Newcastle have one of the best coaches in the world."
We reveal what Atsu will bring to Benitez's team here.
