Newcastle United have signed teenager Elias Fritjof Sorensen

The 16-year-old forward has joined from Danish club HB Koge's and will be based at the club's Academy.

"It's a big, big moment for me, and I'm very glad to sign with this club," said Sorensen. "I hope I'll progress as quickly as possible but first, I will concentrate on developing as a player.

"I'm still very young, but I have high hopes for the future."

Meanwhile, Rafa Benitez will face the media today ahead of tomorrow's Championship home game against Huddersfield Town.
