Rafa Benitez has spoken about the Newcastle United futures of Tim Krul, Daryl Janmaat and Siem de Jong.
Krul and de Jong are close to joining Ajax and PSV Eindhoven on loan respectively, while Janmaat is interesting West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.
United manager Benitez, speaking ahead of tomorrow night's EFL Cup tie against Cheltenham Town at St James's Park, has given an update about their futures.
Krul, in the final year of his Newcastle deal, is expected to sign a contract extension before heading to Ajax, where the goalkeeper would complete his rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury.
Asked about Krul, Benitez said: "We want to find the best solution. We want what's best for the player and the club."
Forward de Jong – whose two-year career at St James's Park has been beset by injuries – has passed a medical at PSV, where he will be reunited with his brother Luuk, who once had a loan spell at United.
Benitez said: "Officially, we can't say anything until it's finalised. We have to wait. Officially, the club will say when it's finalised."
Defender Janmaat was not involved in Saturday's 2-1 win over Bristol City at Ashton Gate.
Asked about his future, Benitez said: "It's difficult to say. He's a player I like, but if someone comes with a fantastic offer, we will analyse everything."
