Former Newcastle United head coach Steve McClaren is set for a shock return to Derby County.
McClaren was sacked from his post at St James's Park in March after a disastrous eight months in charge.
And the 55-year-old is in talks over a role at Derby, the club he left last year.
McClaren could reportedly work alongside Chris Powell, who took charge after the suspension of Nigel Pearson last month.
Ex-United coach Pearson has since been sacked by Derby owner and chairman Mel Morris, who has talked up the "unity" the club had under McClaren.
McClaren narrowly failed to guide the club into the Championship play-offs the season before last.
